Pakistan Society of Criminology has been granted the declaration for Pakistan Journal of Criminology, a peer-reviewed and research-oriented scholarly journal. The journal will be published on quarterly basis from Peshawar.
It aims to advance the study of criminology and criminal justice; to promote empirically-based public policy in crime prevention; and to encourage comparative studies of crime and criminal justice in Pakistan. The journal will be interdisciplinary in nature and welcome researches from a variety of disciplines, including criminology, law, criminal justice, sociology, psychology, forensic science and social work as applied to crime and criminal justice in Pakistan or having implications for Pakistan’s criminal justice policies and law-enforcement. It provides a forum to all scholars, researchers, practitioners and law-enforcement officials to share their researches, views and experiences in order to support or take part in an informed dialogue about existing or new, modified or alternative criminal justice policies or practices in Pakistan.
The journal is an innovative idea and the first of its kind in the history of Pakistan. All the researchers and practitioners are invited to publish their original research, arising from a variety of methodological traditions or their best practices with empirical evidence.
